BASEC Engineering (Blair & Sons Engineering Contractors Pty Ltd) is a trusted client-side project management and engineering consultancy delivering infrastructure and disaster recovery projects across NSW and QLD.

Founded in 2018 in Lismore, BASEC was built to do things properly — strong governance, clear accountability, and practical delivery that stands up to audit, scrutiny and real-world conditions. Today, we support local councils, state agencies and asset owners with end-to-end project management across civil infrastructure, transport, utilities, community assets and disaster recovery programs.

Project management is our core business.
We lead projects from early planning and damage assessment through to procurement, construction, handover and close-out — acting as the client’s representative to protect scope, budget, safety and outcomes.

BASEC has a proven track record delivering large-scale Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) programs, managing hundreds of millions of dollars in public infrastructure restoration across regional Australia. Our teams understand the complexity of DRFA compliance, EPAR development, audit readiness and multi-site program delivery — and we know how to keep projects moving while maintaining full transparency and control.

Our capability is strengthened by in-house technical expertise across civil, structural, geotechnical and stormwater disciplines. This allows us to provide informed oversight, constructability advice and design coordination that supports efficient, buildable outcomes — not theoretical solutions.
